New Art Prints : Spring Inspired

Hazel Berry Paper Etsy Shop

If you keep up on instagram, you know we had quite the snow yesterday. As much as snow is fun for a little while, until your fingers are frozen, I am majorly itching for spring! So as the snow fell yesterday, I was motivated to make it spring-y in this office!

Check out the new art prints: spring inspired, for Hazel Berry Paper!

When developing these, I wanted them to be fun phrases that would lighted up any room in your house. And as always, I wanted them to reflect Hazel Berry. Hope you enjoy them!

Beauty Trend: OMBRE

Every few months, I get the itch to do something different in the beauty department. Luckily for my husband, small, budget friendly changes usually satisfy me. But this time? I think I may branch out a little more into this 'ombre' trend.

I don't want anything too crazy, so I have gathered a few photos for some inspiration. I have a fair complexion with dark brown hair, so I am thinking maybe the "Kate Beckinsale' or the 'Sofia Bush' is the way to go. What are your thoughts on this trend… Which is your favorite?

I will update you all on the new 'do' when its done!

P.S. ITS SNOWING HERE, YAY!!!! (finally!)

She is Hazel Berry

Sometimes in our day to day responsibilities and when we have put everyone's needs above our own, we forget who we are and what we stand for. Sometimes the reasons why we do what we do, or the really amazing qualities that we love about ourselves, get lost because of our never ending to do lists and comparison of others success.

Well it's time to give your self a few minutes to remember all of those lovely qualities that make your heart really special. When reading Emily Ley's '5 minutes' post this week, it struck a cord with me and made me give my self 5 minutes to gather my self, pray, and be reminded of the who Hazel Berry is.

Give your self a few minutes today.
HAPPY FRIDAY!

Happy MLK Day!

It would be ri-donk-ulous if I didn't take a moment to reflect on the importance of this day. Having the courage to chase your dreams involves a serious kind of courage. I am so grateful for those who have made it looked achievable enough for me to make it happen for myself, and those who have shared when it was harder than you ever imagined. Your encouraging stories of stumbles and triumphs are truly inspiring, and it pushes me daily to GO FOR IT. So, thank you.

And THANK YOU Mr. King for this encouraging call to action. You deserve this day.

Now, I am off to enjoy this sunshine with a couple of my dream come trues.

Creative Spaces // Office Inspiration

via my Pinterest board
one / two / three / four / five / six

When we bought our house, a home office was either a life maker or a deal breaker. Luckily for us, THE house had an office space for me and a man cave for by hubby. So we were both happy.

I have really "settled" into it. If you follow me on Instagram, you've seen the current conditions. They aren't pretty, OR functional for that matter. So I am very eager to clean, organize and create the inspiring office space I have always dreamed of.

I have complied a few pieces of inspiration that just keep me swooning over here. Pretty much.. color, natural light, bright whites, inspiring prints, and a little Lilly inspiration is where my head is at. Which space above is your favorite? Do you have a Pinterest board for inspiring work spaces? I would love to see!! Send me a link!

Monday Mantra & A Freebie

"It's everybody's duty to give the world a reason to dance."-Kid President

If you could invite any human being to lunch who would it be?
Kid President is on my list, for sure.
I could watch Kid President videos all day. They bring so much joy, and with the occasional dance party, you can't help but to join along. This little kid is making such an impact in the world... good for him!

Along with so many other, great quotes and sayings, this one happens to be my favorite so far. It especially makes me appreciate my friends who dedicate their lives to serving others. It would hurt for me to have this type of mantra either! Right now, you will receive this 5x7 print FOR FREE with every Hazel Berry Paper purchase through this week! So hop on over the the shop and get to ordering!

Happy Monday!

2014:My Books

If you read my last post, you know I am geared up and ready for a fresh start this year! With that comes new inspiration, new beginnings and a new outlook.

My book choices to begin my 2014 are compiled of some old, new and redos. Follow along with me this year as I begin this new chapter (pun totally intended), and make my way through words/plans/verses of inspiration.

Let's start at the top:

1 | The Day Designer by Whitney English
I've never met Whitney, (maybe someday!) but I know that someone who can create this type of tool for creative entruprenures, like myself, has a heart of gold. I began working in this last fall after receiving it with an Amber Housley Inspired Session. I have to say… it is amazing. It doesn't just help my plan my day's but it drags out all of my unspoken goals. You know, the ones deep down in your heart. It also is really pretty, and that never hurts. It continues to challenge me… really a planner?.. yes really!… and assist me in my productivity and personal journey.

2 | My NIV Bible
This was a gift from my momma when I was in high school. It's cute, pink and tiny, but full of so much love and truth. I hope to rustle those pages a little more this year.

3 | Love Does by Bob Goff
I can't tell you how long I have wanted to read this. I see quotes and posts about this book all the time, and it just fills me to the brim with joy every time. This year I am diving head first into it with an open heart and mind.

4 | Life Application Study Bible Devo
My bible study friends and I have been making our way through this devotional for quite some time. I love the short summaries and reference to scripture. We all agree that it is teaching us A LOT more than we anticipated, and we are loving that!

5 | You Are Already Amazing by Holley Gerth
As a follow up from "You Were Made for a God-Sized Dream", I started this book in October. Needless to say I haven't finished it. I keep setting it down and going back to it, but I am determined to finish it this year. If you have ever read a Holley Gerth book, you know how gifted she is. If not, then you darn right better! (is that even a phrase?)  Anyway, She is so encouraging and her perspective is one I hope to adopt through my experiences. Her "God-Sized Dream" book is a game changer! Check that one out too!

What are some of your favorite books of inspiration, or tools for the new year?
