Happy Friday!

1. First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wonderful husband!! He is 27 today! Baby, I have a feeling your 27th year is going to be the best yet. Cheers to that!

2. I announced Monthly with Hazel Berry this week and gave a little closer look into the A Better Me printables. I can't wait to start using them myself! Pre-orders still going on for $7 until the 25th!

3. I might have spent 3 hours in target yesterday just looking… and one of those hours might have been spent with OH JOY and Nate Berkus. I've also decided that if I am ever asked who I would have lunch with out of anyone in the world, it would be the Berkus.

4. Along with the Monthly announcement this week, I also added some cute new prints to the shop! Go check them out! 1/2/3/4

5. I found this picture on Pinterest the other day! THE CUTEST RIGHT?!

Its sunny today which means Stella and I might need to spend some time outside with a chew toy and a good book. Sounds splendid.

A Better Me - Monthly with HB

Monthly with HB

From time to time, I get really down on myself. I start to dwell on comparing myself to others or gauge my success by how many tasks I checked off on my list.. which isn't always a lot. So I really try to do something to better myself, whether its once a month, every few months, or a time or two a week. The world is just a better place when us women are happy, am I right? I designed these printables to fit a lifestyle of my own. Busy, busy and more busy. So incorporating something that would assist me in making me feel better about myself was completely necessary.
If you read my last post, you know about Monthly with HB. If you missed it, they click the link to read more about the purpose and how it can be used in your day-to-day. Inside of the Monthly with HB package of printables, each month you will receive a surprise printable that encourages you to be the best version of yourself. I like to call it "A Better Me" printable. April's ABM is all about out with the clutter and in with the clean fresh slate that we all need around this time of year. Broken down by room,  each task will help you gain that new start.
I know what you are thinking.."cleaning..really? that doesn't sound like a good time." Take it from me the anti-cleaning housewife, it can be fun… which is why I decided to break it down and give you a sneak peek of the rules sheet for Spring Cleaning.

Follow these steps:

Have some fun with it, and most importantly, don't forget to celebrate! Pre-order your April printables HERE

Best Smoothie Ever

If you follow along on Instagram, you saw that yesterday, Starbucks and I shared a bittersweet moment. It's time to say so-long to bad food and drinks for a little while.
Before you jump all over me for saying SB is bad, OF COURSE Starbucks is amazing, but those caramel macchiatos are addictive something fierce.
So, for now, as I try to detox my body from high-calorie coffee drinks, alcohol, and other bad foods, I hope to fill my body with things that will make me feel more energized, instead of those cholesterol hangovers I've been having.

So to replace yummy "pick-me-up" drinks (aka..wine and coffee...don't judge me), I decided I was gonna try smoothies!! side note: I'm not giving up coffee all together... just the really sugary ones that cost an arm and a leg. baby steps.  So I went on the hunt for pinterest recipes for the easiest, but still delicious, smoothie recipe I could find. If it's not easy, you can just keep a movin' because this girl will give up quick on complicated dishes.

So low and behold, I found this recipe.
UM... SOLD.

So below is my version of this incredibly easy and delicious recipe. My husband even loved it! I plan to try different fruits and combinations, and maybe even get a little gutsier with vegetables! Ill keep you posted... but for now, try this recipe and I promise you won't regret it. It's perfect for the upcoming season and a healthy snack!

Ingredients:
1 bag of frozen strawberries (16 oz)
1 fresh banana cut up
1 Crystal Light Energy package in Wild Strawberry
16-20 ounces of water (same as a water bottle)
1 cup of ice

Makes: 3-4 Servings

Directions:
Empty full bag of frozen fruit and cup of ice into the blender. Start cutting up pieces of the banana and adding them to the blender. Lastly, mix Crystal Light with water and pour into the other ingredients. Blend until smooth. For extra servings, pour into separate concealed containers, I used mason jars, and store in the refrigerator.

When you are ready to enjoy, just pop in a fancy straw and have at it!

Happy Tuesday!

High Five for Friday

ITS FRIDAY and I am in LOVE... with this cute little girl. Stella says Happy Friday!

My top 5 for this week:

1. Every now and then during my work days, I take a small break to just regroup and take my eyes off of the computer screen. I should probably be taking a walk around the neighborhood or something productive like that, but instead, I decide to look at pretty things I can't afford. :)
Plus, my Dad got this magazine at his office and saved it for me (so sweet right?!) because he knows his daughter has expensive taste! HA!

2. I am so excited to get some new products in the shop! And this is just a sneak peak of some new things to come!

3. I got fun mail this week!! No Joke, I open the mail box and there are 5 bills (FIVE BILLS!!) and then a little gem hidden underneath! To make it even better, the note was thanking me for a note of encouragement I sent a few weeks ago. I love love love a friend who pursues me by one of my love languages! Truly special.

4. Stella has been learning so many new tricks and she is doing really well in her obedience classes at PetSmart! If you were looking into their classes for dogs, I highly recommend it! Right now, our biggest lesson we are trying to learn is not to chew on mommy's Hunter boots.

"You are the perfect combination of fun and boring", my valentine says.
5. If you ever find your self in downtown chattanooga, stop on by the Public House. Zack and I went there for our Valentine's date and it was such a great experience with great food, great wine and incredible carrot cake!! Plus everything is white.... Heaven!

Hope everyones week was wonderful! Mine sure was, but I am WORN OUT. So I will leave you with this sleepy image of my golden girl.

Be Still

Lately, I have struggled with a morning routine. Which ends up making me feel like there aren't enough hours in the day to get the things I want, and the things I need, to get accomplished, done. It's a frustrating and defeating cycle. But without fail, in my rushed moments of prayer, God whispers to my heart to be still. Thats it, just be still. Be still so that I can listen, absorb his sovereignty, and focus my goals to align with the path he has set before me. One day I will sit down and write down the story of how this little dream came to be, but until then, this verse pretty much sums it up.

Naturally I am a planner, so this is hard for me to grasp at times. BUT God's timing and plan is perfect. The plans I make for myself will never be, and again, that is a hard pill to swallow when you've got plans and dreams and drive. God wants to use that fire inside of my heart, but just for the right things at the right times. So for now, I will do my best to BE STILL and know that he protects and guides me in the best direction, always.

A song I heard on Way FM the other day really captures this concept. Listen and fall in love!
