Best Smoothie Ever

If you follow along on Instagram, you saw that yesterday, Starbucks and I shared a bittersweet moment. It's time to say so-long to bad food and drinks for a little while.
Before you jump all over me for saying SB is bad, OF COURSE Starbucks is amazing, but those caramel macchiatos are addictive something fierce.
So, for now, as I try to detox my body from high-calorie coffee drinks, alcohol, and other bad foods, I hope to fill my body with things that will make me feel more energized, instead of those cholesterol hangovers I've been having.

So to replace yummy "pick-me-up" drinks (aka..wine and coffee...don't judge me), I decided I was gonna try smoothies!! side note: I'm not giving up coffee all together... just the really sugary ones that cost an arm and a leg. baby steps.  So I went on the hunt for pinterest recipes for the easiest, but still delicious, smoothie recipe I could find. If it's not easy, you can just keep a movin' because this girl will give up quick on complicated dishes.

So low and behold, I found this recipe.
UM... SOLD.

So below is my version of this incredibly easy and delicious recipe. My husband even loved it! I plan to try different fruits and combinations, and maybe even get a little gutsier with vegetables! Ill keep you posted... but for now, try this recipe and I promise you won't regret it. It's perfect for the upcoming season and a healthy snack!

Ingredients:
1 bag of frozen strawberries (16 oz)
1 fresh banana cut up
1 Crystal Light Energy package in Wild Strawberry
16-20 ounces of water (same as a water bottle)
1 cup of ice

Makes: 3-4 Servings

Directions:
Empty full bag of frozen fruit and cup of ice into the blender. Start cutting up pieces of the banana and adding them to the blender. Lastly, mix Crystal Light with water and pour into the other ingredients. Blend until smooth. For extra servings, pour into separate concealed containers, I used mason jars, and store in the refrigerator.

When you are ready to enjoy, just pop in a fancy straw and have at it!

Happy Tuesday!
